For many users of natural cosmetics, it is important to know what ingredients are in their skincare and makeup products. However, the purity and safety of hair care products often gets overlooked. It's essential to remember that the hair care products you use truly matter.
By using products that contain only genuinely necessary ingredients, you ensure that no unnecessary or potentially harmful chemicals or extra ingredients are absorbed into your skin.
Flow Cosmetics' shampoo soap bars contain only a few ingredients – thus, they do not contain anything artificial or superfluous. Our shampoo soap bars never contain preservatives, artificial fragrances or colors, mineral oils, SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), SLES (sodium laureth sulfate), or other synthetic surfactants. Therefore, our bars are guaranteed to be completely natural.
Using a shampoo soap bar is also extremely simple and easy!
However, using a bar may raise questions for many people – so we've listed instructions for using a shampoo soap bar:
- Lather your hair well, ensuring it is thoroughly wet all over – remember to properly wet your scalp and the ends of your hair as well. Then, rub the shampoo bar directly all over your hair until it lathers well. Rinse your hair quickly with warm water – and continue rubbing the bar into your hair for a little longer.
- Then rinse your hair very thoroughly with warm water.
- Gently towel dry your hair afterward.
If your hair feels sticky or waxy, it could be due to the hardness of the water used for washing (regular tap water often contains lime and magnesium, which can impair the condition of your hair. Metals may cause soap to precipitate in your hair).
If you have a shower water filter, it can make the water used for washing your hair much more hair-friendly.
You can also easily make "softer" water for washing your hair at home: this is done by adding one tablespoon of baking soda to five liters of water. This water is used for rinsing and cleaning your hair before using the shampoo bar.
Flow’s own hair rinses, as well as regular apple cider vinegar, work well as hair conditioners after using the shampoo bar; they make the hair even shinier, easier to comb, and cleaner.
Find the right shampoo bar and hair rinse for your hair from our wide selection!
